Overview

This position supports the Treasury Department by preparing and applying cash receipts to invoices accurately and timely for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Works in all TMS systems to apply customer payments timely and accurately using accounting tools and imports across all business units.
  • Works in the Bank websites extracting payment data and posting ACH, wire transfers and other deposits to the appropriate customer accounts and invoices.
  • Work outstanding AR unapplied cash.
  • Entering cash into Great Plains (GP) for Covenant and Solutions.
  • Responsible for preparing customer refunds.
  • Assist the Collectors with cash questions/issues in GP.
  • Responsible for moving unapplied cash to over payment status.
  • Process and reconcile account receivables and remittances across the enterprise.
  • Create regular reports to accurately track financial information.
  • Perform periodic audits of the general ledger and company financial documents for SOX compliance.
  • Address payment issues like double payments or other discrepancies.
  • Engage in collection management processes as necessary.
  • Manage all aspects of cash applications including but not limited to: Lockbox payments, Checks, and ACH/Wires
  • Research and work with customers to resolve payment discrepancies.

Qualifications

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

· Proficiency with accounting software.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Exceptional analytical ability.

· Ability to work independently and contribute to broader team objectives.

· Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Higher education a plus.

· Prior experience in accounts receivable or similar field highly desired.

· Experience working in Great Plains or similar accounting system preferred.

Covenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $34,140.15-50,422.38
Pay Grade: 4
